Congratulations to BCMB Alum Sara Clasen (Espenshade Lab, graduated 2017)! Dr. Clasen won the Noster-Science Essay prize; you can read her essay here: https://www.science.org/doi/10.1126/science.adi6265. She is currently a postdoctoral fellow in Ruth Ley’s Department of Microbiome Science at the Max Planck Institute for Biology, Tübingen, Germany.
